Four sides. One booklet. And everything you need to know about a current research topic. With BIOMAX, GEOMAX, and TECHMAX booklets, the Max Planck Society presents complex subjects of current basic research, especially for school lessons (only available in German).
It often takes some time until new research results find their way into school books. Even fewer school books present the actual day-to-day research: How do researchers get their results and which methods and technologies are used?
This is why the MAX-Wissen booklets have been around for more than ten years. The four-page booklets of the series BIOMAX, GEOMAX and TECHMAX, current topics and research results of the Max Planck Society are explained in a concise and easy to understand way. Thus, it is now easy to implement them into the science lessons of the upper school.
The MAX-Wissen booklets for students and teachers cover the entire spectrum of science subjects - from biology and geography to chemistry and physics. Schools, teachers, and students can request printed copies of the brochures or download them digitally – both free of charge. Please note that the booklets are only available in German.

Die sogenannte angeborene oder natürliche Immunität, die sich schon bei wirbellosen Tieren und selbst bei Pflanzen findet, erlaubt eine besonders rasche, unspezifische, aber trotzdem wirkungsvolle Verteidigung.
